One of the most fascinating recordings I've found at the excellent Norwegian National Library website is "Großer Zapfenstreich vor dem Schloß", or "Grand tattoo in front of the palace" (ref. to the
Palace Square in Oslo), made on the evening before Hitler's 53rd birthday. This live and uncut recording, lasting nearly half an hour, really brings history back to life. Link:
