Does anyone know this piece of classical music [w̶h̶i̶c̶h̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶p̶o̶p̶u̶l̶a̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶a̶ ̶f̶a̶v̶o̶u̶r̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶w̶e̶d̶d̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ ̶d̶u̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶T̶h̶i̶r̶d̶ ̶R̶e̶i̶c̶h̶ ̶p̶e̶r̶i̶o̶d̶]?
I've heard it in 2 movies now and a documentary.
Finally, today I was able to grab my phone and make a short video:

Almost certainly a German or Austrian composer I would think but any ideas?
Many thanks.

Re: Unknown wedding music
Hi!
It is an overture from Richard Wagner's "Tannhäuser". Not sure about how popular it actually was as a wedding march.

Thank you Schmeisser! I can't believe I didn't recognise this as I've got it on CD at least twice. It just sounds completely different to the version in the video above. Whilst, at the same time, when you gave me the answer I knew straight away it was the right one.
Mystery solved.
