[Split from Political songs of the Weimar Republic era, 1918-1933]
Guys, who has pictures of Schalmei-Kapellen of the Roter Frontkämpferbund?
I want to understand what basic set of tonalities were present in the "armoury" of these bands, and where is that mythical horizontal version of Martin's Trumpet in baritone tonality (red)? I unfortunately didn't find this trumpet in the modern release, only the vertical version is available now (black).

Re: Schalmeikapellen des RFB
Hello, Eeafanas
The same as each Nazi, army or civilian band got a topic of its own in here, it's only fair that every RFB band gets one too, instead of mixing their images together in one thread. So please let's take some time and focus on each band individually, by posting their images separately for starters, and, ideally, by doing some research along the way too, if/when possible. Not a rule - just a suggestion. And, when posting images, always remember to credit sources.
May I add that it's about time that RFB bands get some attention in the music section, so thumbs up for the initiative. I planned to dedicate several threads to them as well, but never got enough time.
Thread temporarily locked until its initiator decides whether to continue it or start separate threads on RFB bands.
Cheers,
Ivan
