[Several threads dealing with "Battle of the Bulge" soundtrack have been merged by the music section host, Ivan Ž.]

Other than Battle of the Bulge, where they sing the first verse over and over, are there any other movies that feature the Panzerlied??

That's the only movie I heard it sung in.

I agree, I don't think there's any other movies where the Panzerlied was sung.

There were strains of this song used in the uncut version of Decision Before Dawn.

I assume you mean this Benjamin Frankel score for The Battle of the Bulge, Ken Annakin's 1967 film well-known but often reviled for historical accuracy.

Your link did not work for me, but I further assume it is the Panzerlied you like, since its use in The Battle of the Bulge comes up now and again here. This link has the lyrics and composer as well as several different renditions, including the film's. Somewhere I have one performance by a Bundeswehr band in the late 1960s.

I'd love to get ahold of the Bundeswehr version of Panzerlied. Any chance you could post or e-mail it? I whistle that tune a lot...occasionally, someone perks up and recognizes it...you can tell the war-movie-watchers in the group.

Sorry, that rendition of Panzerlied was on a German vinyl LP from the 1960s. It and other songs were performed by a unit band of the Bundeswehr. The cover showed a recreated Imperial German soldier in blue uniform and Pickelhaube. Both the record and my turntable are stored away and I don't have the software for digitizing vinyl recordings.

But I would think that Panzerlied by a modern German Army band should be available on some German-produced CD, or found elsewhere by search.
