A fantastic still frame of Musikmeister Hermann Müller-John conducting the LAH Band while SA, SS, and NSKK troops march past. (Berlin, 1936)

Please let us also remember about the dark side of Obermusikmeister der SS-Leibstandarte "Adolf Hitler" Herman Müller-John. Docs waiting for you in Ludwigsburg.
B 162/16610 - Erschießung von 50 jüdischen Häftlingen am 18./19.9.1939 in Blonie im Distrikt Warschau durch H. Müller-John, Obermusikmeister der SS-Leibstandarte "Adolf Hitler".

Hello, Orlov

The murder of 50 Polish Jews has been mentioned on pages 1, 2 and 3 of this thread, and there are two threads about it in the war crimes section (first, second). Thank you for sharing the archival signature of related documents.

You're welcome Ivan.
Few realize what archival treasures they find in Bundesarchiv Ludwigsburg.
This is approx 200-300 pages á 0,45 eurocent.
An anonymous admirer of this SS-conductor (Obermusikmeister) deprived us of knowing the details of the file B 162/16610 in Bundesarchiv Ludwigsburg - Erschießung von 50 jüdischen Häftlingen am 18./19.9.1939 in Blonie im Distrikt Warschau durch H. Müller-John, Obermusikmeister der SS-Leibstandarte "Adolf Hitler"

Hello, Orlov

Thanks for the update. But let's not jump to conclusions and call the person responsible an admirer of Müller-John. Still, whatever the motives were, it's indeed a shame such a document isn't available.

Cheers,
Ivan

Hello Ivan
OK - 'admirer' in inverted commas. The second eventuality was the theft of investigative documents by the defendants or their lawyers. Lack of documents (valid testimony) resulting in the discontinuation of proceedings against the criminal(s).
The word FELCHT appears very often in documents in the Bundesarchiv Ludwigsburg.

Cheers Hubert

Hello, Tarch, thanks for sharing and :welcome:

As can be seen from this and some other images from 1938 (this or this one), they didn't wear cuff-titles on their early field uniforms.

More band images from Vienna 1938 can be found here and here.

Cheers,
Ivan
