How would you transcribe the lyrics for the song "Deutsches Mädel"? BTW who is it by?

Du Schönste vom Städtel, schwarzbraunes Mädel

Post by CrotalusAtrox501 » 29 Jul 2012, 16:55

First at all, hi to all members of this forum, I'm new.
My question is about a marching-love song I found on youtube yesterday (Du Schönste von Städtel, schwarzbraunes Mädel). It was, according to what is written in the video description, by Herms Niel in 1938. There are on the net two versions, one with refrain, uploaded by the user Ivan, who is also an important member of this forum, and another, with lesser quality audio, but with more lyrics (but I can not understand all words, quality is too bad for my self-studied German). May anyone help me finding lyrics?

Nevertheless, the song was recorded on 9 September 1941, by the composer, in Dt. Gramm. studio at Alte Jakobstraße, Berlin, Germany.

Dear SQ37, thanks very much for trying to identify the lyrics, I really appreciate it, but I believe you got more parts wrong than right. I keep forgetting to try to write down the lyrics myself; but as soon as I do, I'll post them of course. Just a brief note, without even checking, I remember that the part you heard as "Vergiss mir nicht mein Schätzelein, mein Sönnenschein" is in fact "für dich, für dich allein, mein Sonnenschein" (for you only, my sunshine).

Edit: OK, here are the lyrics transcribed by listening by a German friend of mine and myself. We remained uncertain about the 3rd line (1st strophe), but the rest should be 99% correct.

Es blüht ein Röselein

I have no doubt that there could be mistakes because my only knowledge of Goethe's language is from listening German music. :)
