what a SA mann did to have the SA sportbadge?

SA Sports Badge: Tests based on Physical fitness, military defense, and field excercises
a. Bronze: Men under 35 who successfully passed requirements during a 12 month period received the bronze award.
b. Silver: Men under 35 who passed test for 5 consecutive years, over men between 35 and 40 who passed the test during a 12 moth period received the silver award.
c. Gold: Men who held the silver badge and continued to pass test for an additional 6 years, or men over 40 who passed the test during a 12 month period received the Gold award.

German National Sports Badge (DRL).
a. Bronze: Awarded to men and women between 18 and 32 who passed 5 parts of the national test within a 12 month period.
b. Silver: Awarded to men and women between ages of 18 and 32 who passed the tests for a total of 8 years or to persons 32 to 40 who passed the test duning a 12 month period.
c. Gold: Awarded to men and women ages 18 to 32 who passed the tests for a total of 7 consecutive years once the silver badge had been awarded or to persons 40 years of age who passed the tests in a 12 moth period.

Both the SA Sports award and the DRL Sports award came in a special "War Wounded" version with adjusted qualifications (one grade only).

I've read that they did swimming, run and etc. ?
