Ostvolk Award 2nd Class Question

Post by 199Punch » 15 Apr 2018 16:58

Hello,
I'm unsure of this Ostvolk award 2nd class merit medal and if it's a bronze or silver version.

Thank you.

Bronze Ost Volk medal without swords.... (silver would have white side stripes on the ribbon)... appears to be original but view of the reverse and any markings are needed to be sure. If real, nice bronze wash and formed ribbon with pin, which is correct for the Ost Volk awards.

Here's the reverse. My camera keeps freaking out over closeups so I have to try and shoot the clasp again. But I'll include it anyway.
I've read in some cases there should be a "100" makers mark but I don't see one on this.

It's an original Ostvolk Medal 2nd Class without Swords in Bronze.

Not all Ostvolk awards were made by Wachtler & Lange (100) but many, if not most, that we find today are.
