"JA" swastika pin badge

#1

Post by Stormmaker » 21 Apr 2018, 01:14

I have just acquired this "JA" swastika pin and the seller told me that it was ordered through the official auspices of the NSDAP. I was told that this lapel pin was more or less an award for NSDAP loyalists. The seller informed me that the pin was not designed nor issued until after Hitler’s appointment as Chancellor. It was strictly an award token. The pin measures ¾ of one-inch square, which is about the size of an American nickel coin in dimension. It was made in 800 silver and is so marked on the back. It has the usual clasp as seen on many German badges. Therefore, can someone provide me with any extra information on this item and whether it is original or fake.

It's, IMO, a cast reproduction of a 1933 Election pin offered with a ridiculous write-up by Germania International.

Now if the OP had just posted the ** bought this over on Germania International* we could have not wasted our timke offering opinions, as that blurb as to where he bought it would have said it all, bababahhahhaa

This pin is really bad.... poor quality, incorrect pin... (NOT typical) and just plain bad! The 800 mark is undoubtedly bogas.... if this came from "Germania" you need to realize that 98% of the high end stuff on that site is completely fantasy (i.e.: fake/reproduction/crap). Learn not to burn!
