Hi all,
I have read that new winners of the Knights Cross were saluted by all ranks, when they recieved the medal.can anyone confirm this or put up links to pictures or text on the subject?

A military award is not won, it was not a competition to get it in the first place. An award is earned!

Pedantic, much? the use of the phrase "won" , with regard to military or other medals, is common in spoken English. Please save your electrons for more useful posts.

Agree.........and point well given..However, lets remember in other cou8ntries and cultures some terms are used differently
