hi pepo, sorry but for me that`s a fake, purely based on what i see on the rear of the badge. the soldered pin holder is wrong shaped, and the rzm `129` is the number one favourite of fakers if i remember correctly. they obviously had thousands of blanks made with the same number on the back. i may be wrong, as i only own one of these, but before buying mine i did research the known fakes, and this looks like one of them. hope i`m wrong for your sake!. :wink:

dancz is correct. i didn`t express myself as clearly as i wished, obviously the original 129 rzm`s are ok. but even they are treated with scepticism by collectors. give a dog a bad name , and all that.

Yes, a poor fake... Reddick Militaria sells these exact pins for $6.00

Up till last year the quality was so much better though.... Correct red enamel to the front... and had the correct style pin on back...I think they changed suppliers... The older ones they had ""antiqued""up nice..... From what I understand, 1 manufacterer changed the back pin with the "narrow" fastener so they would be recognized as a repro... a dead give-away like on this one...
You will be surprised at the number of these on militaria dealers tables trying to be passed off as genuine WW2 TR.MUST think we are blind!!!!to fall for that con..

I have been working on pins only for a short time now and that most of the early pins I have pictures of originals do not have that line in the Z . The small RZM marks do not have enough room for one ? It seams more preference of the maker, and not size of RZM mark .

An early orig 129 regular Party Pin - back . Note different number style 2 and 9 :

Your two party pins label M1/129 are both fakes, I've never seen anything good with a M1/129 mark. This is a M1/129 fake, look at the maker code, the digit "1",,, they look like the letter alphabet "I" instead of your typical number ones "1" found in all the NSDAP Badges.

The number of fake 129's must be close to 10 now , and why that one has been copied so much is not known .
There are original 129 made Pins which are mostly early pins and the source of the picture is Enamels of War : Mike Pinkus .
He is an expert on enamel Pins and has a great and interesting collection that can be seen here ;
http://enamelsofwar.homestead.com/
To be more acurate ... the pictures of the 129 pins I posted above are early Party Pins .
I have added the front this time .
