Hi,

this breast star remindes to the portugese Order of Aviz (Ordem Militar de São Bento de Aviz), the questions why Siebert should have it.

Christian

Though I´m not convinced that the ID is correct. The edges of the star in the pic are high angled and not flat as in the mentioned order.

in order from left to right.

EKII spange, Hohenzollern house order, winterslacht im osten (eastern front medal), order of the crown of Prussia 3rd class (I think), no idea, order of the Prussian eagle 3rd class (though this should be in front of the order of the crown of Prussia, so I might be wrong), war medal of Austria (or the gold medal for courage of Austria), WWI cross of honour with swords (for combatants), 2 x long service medals, West wall medal, no idea.

I cannot guarantee that these are correct, but hopefully some of them are!!!

Adametz is displaying the neck cross and eight-pointed breast star of a Grand Commander of the Hungarian Order of Merit.

Best regards,
Shawn

Hi,

K. was owner of the grand cross of the Order of the Crown of Italy. The three crowns on the ribbon bar always display the grand cross class for all orders. Because there is no white stripe in the ribbons center I would believe it could be the grand cross of Maurizio e Lazzaro. But that is not verified by K.s bio on ABR.

I have this photo in colour, and the ribbon is green: Grand Cross of Saints Mauritius and Lazarus Order.

Interesting photo....unique method of wearing unmounted medals on a Dress uniform....too blurry to be 100% sure, but to me it looks like he's wearing:
Iron Cross 1939 2nd cl.
??? (looks like a SUDETENLAND medal but placement WRONG!) (Should be a Bravery type award)
War Merit Cross 39 2nd Cl. w/swords
??? (looks like the Austrian Anschluss medal but placement would be wrong)
Ost Volk Medal 2nd cl. (appears "Silver"/or gold) from ribbon
??? (looks like Memellands Medal from shape & rib. colors)
Appears to be something "here" but can't see any detail
West Wall Medal (but regulations against wearing all 3 flower campaign medals & West Wall...of course not always followed!)

He also has what much be a 4 & 12 Yr. 2 place Wehrmacht Long Service awards on a normal medal bar below the other row of medals....

That's what they "look like"....to me....however the placement and order is not correct....depending on what the medals actually are...
