I think it's the WW2 Croatian Pilots badge....not Royal Yugoslavian.... (obviously similiar design)...

The last two are:
Prussian Long Service Cross (probably 20 or 25 yrs serv.) and last is the 1900 Kaiser Wilhelm Centennial medal. The other appears to be a "Brunswick House Order but not sure on that one....

The 4th from the left looks like a 'Hindenburg Cross' to me, then the Silesian Eagle 2nd Class.

It's the Kärntner Kreuz für Tapferkeit 1. Klasse [Carinthian Cross for Bravery 1st Class].AlifRafikKhan wrote:Hi, what is the medal in Oberst August Sorko pocket? Looks like an EK1 with swords...

The neck Order & Breast Stars are all foreign Awards.... the Neck Order maybe Italian, the left pocket (his left) appears to be Italian....(almost looks like a large 5 pt. star on rayed background...(Ital. Colonial Order maybe, or Tunisian??)... the small round medal hanging from his pocket flap appears to be the Italian Award for Germans serving in N. Africa medal (Italo/German "afrika" Campaign medal). The Large breast star on his right pocket could be anything....probably Italian (Order of Crown?), these could even be "Papal" awards.... but looks somewhat like Japanese Order of Rising Sun. Unfortunately photo is too fuzzy/shadows to see much detail, and my references aren't available to me at the moment.
If the small medal is the Afrika medal.... it would have been common for German officers, including SD officers, to receive Italian, Albanian, Croatian, Slovikian, etc. Orders for related "Staff or Duty" assignments approipriate to thier "jobs" and rank... in this case must have been for service in Africa, pre-Mussolini's overthrow, etc.
Possibly head of the SD Staff that was in Tunisia/Libya (or something on that idear)
