Thanks Matthew4108 - would you know if any of these were awarded during the war? Even Wikipedia mentions Huelse Berlin maker only...

Here's a picture showing Godet's storefront display. Danzig Crosses are circled in black. That shows they existed pre 1945. Whether for primary (awarded) or secondary (replacement/private purchase) market- that's up for debate.

Just a point of interest on the Danzig Cross, Wietzer has a wonderful grouping on his site of a Recipient of the Danzig Second Class, First Class and Gau Danzig Badge, 3 photos with the Second Class on Ribbon bar plus Gau Danzig. The pictures of the individual pieces show markings in close up.As they say in the trade, "A sight for sore eyes" I would love it, but price 20000 eros. The Gau Danzig badge is well worth seeing.
