Roger, you posted "ALL the pieces are die stamped, and none were cast. "

Check your notes as I believe the early Juncker peices were die stamped but the majority were die cast.
Have a great day.

thank you

Thanks David, Bill Stump has already brought that small error to my attention.

Yes, the badges were Die cast (High quality of casting), and Die Stamped.

Technically for another term, the Diamonds piece is Jeweler cast.

Real or not?

Post by Ludwig » 24 Apr 2002 07:54

Dear Sven Kondor,
It´s sometimes very difficult to comment fellow collector´s badges and medals. If you think they are not OK and you say so, many fellow collectors get hurt and/or pissed off and angry at you. Especially if they have paid a lot of money for the item in question.

Ludwig...you're absolutely correct with your asessment. You may not be aware of a past t.v. show here in the states called 'Get Smart" Don Adams played the part of Agent Maxwell Smart. His favorite saying was "DON'T TELL ME" and when someone did he would reply "I SAID DON'T TELL ME".

It seems that collectors want to know, however when told they become hostile and especially here on the forum make every attempt to chastise the individuals who offer their opinions.

I'm sorry Roger, but when you post a strong authoritive statement like "ALL the pieces are die stamped, and none were cast" IT'S NOT A SMALL ERROR. Especially on such a critical forum as this is where criticism runs rampet. A typo is a small error. I can imagine what would have been posted if I had made that unfounded statement.

However, I guess that rank has it's priviliges.
