Re: Mit Hitler in Coburg
Wow, thanks for that. So its likely there were just a few HJ members who would have been entitled to wear the badge, very interesting.

Hi Erich,
Thank you for posting the photo on the previous page of Sister Pia with the Coburg Badge, I had not seen that one before.
Best,
James

Ok, I saw in this forum i beautiful piece of memorabilia about the Putsch.. I don´t know how say in english... is like a little plaque (miniature) of the Feldherrnhalle with the name of the nazis dead in the putsch... the name is like "mehmel" or something like that, I can´t remember where I saw this and I can´t remember the correct name of this piece in english I´m looking the picture, is like a miniature to put on a desk or table.

Yes, I did post my Mahnmal statue in the Munich Thread. I know of only about 6 of these statues that survived the war and it's very cool piece!Helly Angel wrote:Ok, I saw in this forum i beautiful piece of memorabilia about the Putsch.. I think this is the one you were thinking of Helly, I've linked it over to here from the other thread It is a great looking and rare piece. You must be very pleased with it Erich. I see from the thread on waf that there are some other wall plaque versions too.
I happen to like the little glass WHW "tinnie" donation version of it. I have just bought one and when it arrives I will post a picture.

Thanks Matt, yes the stature is a special piece and there's also one in a Munich Museum.
Re: Mit Hitler in Coburg
Back to Coburg, here's an early drawing of the badge done by Hitler. This from the book Kumpf um Coburg.

Re: Mit Hitler in Coburg
Thats a great little sketch, and certainly shows the inspiration for the initial design before it was assumedly handed over to the manufacturers to create a sample. Imagine being there on the day in the office! "Here you go, can you make us something like this, from the Führer's sketch"
