The Ost medal & KVK2 are original. What is the makers mark on the KVK suspension ring? I can't make it out. Stewy

Not much help really. What number is it, you should be able to see it in hand. Stewy

Practice, study and common sense. Yours is a very obvious, entry-level fake.

Alright; I'll elaborate:

These "M9/86" disks are well-known and very common fakes that have been around for a long time. They come in various variants in terms of material etc. and with different serial numbers, but none of them are good.

Real Gestapo ID disks never had makers' marks or any other markings in this place to begin with.

The RZM license category M9 was for makers of metal event-/rally-/meeting badges (tinnies) - which this disc obviously isn't - and the maker # 86 is the Adam Donner company of Wuppertal-Elberfeld, which never manufactured warrant discs.

But we don't even have to dig that deep, as it simply makes no sense for any RZM markings to appear on a Gestapo ID disk anyway: Regardless of the fact that the SS and Police were closely entwined, the Gestapo was the Third Reich's national plain-clothes political police, and as such a state organisation, not one of the NSDAP.

Hi :
The zinc Kvk2 looks like a S&L piece and the off center makers mark would then be a 4 .
