Eagle order help

#1

Post by rlimike » 04 Aug 2017, 22:58

I would like to have some help with this medal as medals are out of my collecting area; I did a search and from what I found ... I believe this one to be a repro as it has no makers mark on the suspension ring. All help is very much appreciated.

thanks,
Mike

A lot of German medals don’t have a number on the ring. So, if looking for authenticity for any medal other than this, it’s not very helpful unless you want to know the maker. In this case, I believe this medal was only produced with makers mark on the ring, so I believe it is probably a reproduction. That is if the makers mark hasn’t worn down over time.

These are hard to tell. But no ring number dose not condem it. The big problem is ribbon. When I see them, "Bare" it makes me wonder.

Any of those with raised/framed tips of the swords would not be for me. Including this one.
