Hat/ Cap emblem- need help to identify
Hi,
would be anyone so kind to help to identify following hat/ cap emblem/insignia please,
it's nothing real to find around the I-Net.
My own direction goes to :
1. Deutsche Reichsbahn - electric train, telegraphy - because of the " double lightning"
or
2. Tram - cable car - because the wheel shows up " a board wall " on one side
post telegrahiy not really, because the show up another wheel .
But what's it directly ?
Please only , if someone really knows it
Thanks in front
Regards

Here is a link to a similar piece. The article says that the lightning bolts designated a supervisor ..not exactly the same but in the ball park.

Thnks for that, interesting page.(I think, I don't saw this one it before )
But on this strange ensignia are the lightning with a " double zack", on the old medal plates for 25 years working / Reichsbahn ( at the top with the electric train and below the ateam lokomotive) are also shown similar sign but only with normal lightnings;
and for the railway ( Reichsbahn ) normally is shown a wheel with a hollow tread, for trams and similar are ones with the " board wall " on one side.
That's the/ my problem .
Almost similar I found some similar and also some dealers explained it " simple", but seems nobody knows it exactly, also in a Rail & Tram forum in Germany years ago they discussed about such kind of emblem. Also there was sadly no real result, just because there are these small different things on this emblem .
( Normally is the lightning symbol for electric, the " one with the double zack " for telegraphy - or not ?! )
Thanks and

Here's one in gold. Misidentified as WW2 era by a dealer (of course).
Re: Hat/ Cap emblem- need help to identify
Matthew, excellent detective work ... ! I searched but could not find any pertinent info & I thought it was maybe DDR.
Re: Hat/ Cap emblem- need help to identify
Where did you get your info ?
The Deutsche Bundesbahn Flügelrad/ winged wheel has straight wings and later ones on the cap the wheel straight to the front ...and to the right ( on uniforms different emblems, I mean on cap and jackets)
founded: 7. September 1949 in Offenbach
liquidation: 31. Dezember 1993
the Deutsche Reichsbahn ( old logo) the rounded ones
here a link with some / dealer
http://www.eisenbahnuniformen.de/contents/de/d37.html
In the whole net you'll find different descriptions - it's funny- look yourself, best example on e-bay
I have enough pics from the different wing wheels and a lot of sites stored over the time ,by my search but I'll will dig further.
But , sorry , for me it's not a emblem from, the Deutsche Bundesbahn - see above
at the most Deutsche Reichsbahn ( DR) , then pre war or post war ( in the first time till DDR!! ) - in relation to the wingwheel.
After changing old DR into "RB", there was a swastika on it
You'll find this kind of wingwheel en masse on the 25 years anniversary plates , in the time around 1937 - 1939 , so they startet in the 1910th

Re: Hat/ Cap emblem- need help to identify
I've also found this kind of emblem ( not a lot of but) a few in the I-net but always with a different description - private and/or dealer.
Therefore I've asked here .

Re: Hat/ Cap emblem- need help to identify
This is a hat the badge I posted before comes from. One of them.
Although not very easily seen on the diamond, it was produced by Albert Kempf Company of Wuppertal. That's in West Germany. The diamond carries the name of their Ödmiensbach factory in Bavaria. That plant was not built until 1968.
Unless of course you believe someone 'salted' the hat with an unknown insignia to increase its value (why if its unknown?), then put it up for sale for a whopping 60 Euros.
