WWI Sturmtrupp Badge Information Needed...

Hello, I'm new here and was wondering if any one could provide any information regarding these WWI sturmtrupp badges? I'm working on a project and want to make sure everything is historically accurate so I need some help with info about these. I've looked all over but it seems information on these badges is slim, all I've found was a source saying these are Austro-Hungarian and give to AH assault troops... I've found no information or sources saying if these were awarded to German troops or if they had one of their own, however so many replicas and links online call these German badges. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these badges were given to German troops as I've found no information indicating so... I would really appreciate any help, thank you.
