Infantry assault badge - Real or fake?

I'm new to medal collecting, so i'm not entirely sure how to tell a real from a fake. Any advice / tips?

Appears to be a cast fake, look on the back, evidence of casting is very clear. Should be die struck, without seams or different levels of metal. Not one I'd want.
