WW2 Iron Cross 2nd Class

#1

Post by Neill » 25 Aug 2018, 18:48

Hi

I bought the above recently in an online auction. I'm content that it isn't a fake after I checked the seller out. I am wanting to buy a presentation case. There are two types of case which are early and late war.

I'm wondering if there is any way of telling a early IC from a late war one? My IC has no distinguishing marks such as a makers ID number. I want to match the right presentation case for my IC if possible. Any help is much appreciated.

Iron Cross 2nd class were almost always awarded in an envelope..... Not a case as such (cases are normally post-war bull crap). Being yours is unmarked, probably a later made example. Don't waste your money. Just to be sure.... A 2nd class has a ribbon, a 1st cl. Is pin back (and would be cased).
Hope this helps.
