Hello guys,
I need your help about this unmarked IAB. Who could be the maker?
Thanks in advance

IAB in silver: who is the maker?
Re: IAB in silver: who is the maker?
My vote for a Rudolph Souval abzeichen
" The right to believe is the right of those who don't know "
Re: IAB in silver: who is the maker?
Going out on a limb here…. Looking at Rudolf Souval badges the 3 areas I have posted from the front of your badge are not close to a match for the same areas on a Rudolf Souval badge. The areas I have circled on the reverse look like an F.W. Assmann badge 2 mold marks (one on the rifle butt & one at the barrel / bayonet) and what looks like the number 2 under the pin and the catch that is molded into the badge. It is zinc and in rough condition but I believe it to be Assmann not Souval. JMHO.
Re: IAB in silver: who is the maker?
Here is an example of the Assmann IAB in better condition ... I got the picture from John T's website. https://www.originalgermanmilitaria.com ... n-marked-2
to me the badge that started this thread and this badge are the same except for the very poor condition of the first badge. You can see the number 2 peeking out from behind the pin on both badges.
Regards,
Mike
