Kurland Cufftitle and Eastern Front Medal

Post by Gewehr41 » 10 Dec 2018 23:57

To have Kurland-Ärmelband and Medille "Winterschlacht im Osten", a soldier must be in that area for about 1-2 months but if a German soldier did a gallantry action, for example that he earned the Iron Cross, could he have these awards staying few time on East (less the time required to have these medals)?

The Winter in Russia medal was awarded only for service in the first winter that operations were conducted.... 1941/42....Not for service after that period....

The Kurland cuff title could be awarded to personal who were wounded or medically evacuated prior to the regulation service requirements (as could the Winter in Russia medal) regardless of any particular awards or other decorations.
