Badge Identification

#1

Post by Pavel2 » 03 Jan 2019, 03:44

Attached is photo of a badge I received from a friend who "thought" (educated guess) it might be an early Czech army badge. Can anyone help me identify which country and service issued such badges, when, and for what purpose. Thank you.

I recently heard this badge was worn by the gendarmerie in the Protectorate of Bohemia. Can anyone please comment on or confirm this. Thank you.

It was certainly worn as a cap badge by the Regierungstruppen des Protektorats Böhmen und Mähren (the Protectorate's small military force). Sorry; I don't know whether the Gendarmerie wore the same design.
