What to look for on an Iron cross

#1

Post by BodhiEtheridge » 17 Jun 2019, 03:07

I am going to head over to the dealer where I buy most my WW2 German awards, I know he normally has a iron cross first class in stock and I am thinking of buying one if he’s has any, so I was hoping somebody could tell what to look for when buying one.

Impossible to really answer, take a look at some recognized dealers examples, usually the type of pin and catch and makers marks are key, as well as 3 pc. construction and magnetic core....

Thanks I will take your advice, I will post a picture here of what I buy (may not be an iron cross) when I get back with whatever I buy.
