NSFK plaque, original or not?

Hello, I found this NSFK plaque for sale online. I was wondering if any of you can help me identify whether this is just a reproduction, or is it original? Thanks.

No it not good. There is a website that sells fantasy pieces and that is one of them.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it a fantasy piece.

This design is known to exist during the period and event to which it alludes. As for wooden base with a plaque on it- some companies produced those in house as well, Hoffstaetter being one that we know of, I am sure there were others.

I Agree with you Matthew .... not fantasy, but IMHO a reproduction (looks to be stamped aluminum) of a known non-portable award with some highlights added. They were awarded for 3rd.place bronze, 2nd.place silver & 1st. place in gold with the silver & gold versions being very scarce ( I have never come across a painted or enameled example). On-line auctions have several versions of this and other stamped & painted NSFK & NSKK awards / plaques being offered up. I agree that the wood looks good & the hanger as well, but without removing it & seeing the reverse of the plaque & some measurements IMHO it's a sketchy piece.

Obviously I have not seen the verso of this but I am willing to bet a good bottle of whiskey that it is in fact a semi hollow reproduction piece like the one pictured below.
