Need help identifying a medal.

Post by alexaceaziz » 06 Aug 2019 01:36

Hi,I have a World War 2 medal but i'm unsure what exact medal it is.
I believe it is something to do with iron cross.
I have attached some pictures of the medal.
How much would a medal like this be worth?

The medal you have is trying to be a 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Cl.. However, it looks like a reproduction to me. The size of the date and swastika as well as the "silver" frame and beading look like nothing I've ever seen before, and I've seen literally 100s over the years. Should have a seam on the edge, where the top and bottom of the frame come together over the iron core (3 pc. construction), however many fakes will have this. Originals without a ribbon run in the $65./90. US range... depending on condition and maker if marked.
