Award identification please...

Post by nibelung1876 » 29 Oct 2019 20:32

Hi guys,

Does anyone have an idea which award (above the right breast pocket) this is?
Could it be a Social Welfare Decoration?

Thanks in advance!

Single place ribbon bar, shadows make it nearly impossible to tell. I'd guess it's a Defense Wall (West Wall) medal. Impossible to be sure.

Yes John G, indeed no colours or pattern to see, but a ribbon bar has a rectangular shape.
It's is looking more like a bow, something like this one maybe?
Thanks!

Bowed ribbons were only for fema!es or for civilian lapel wear, not on a uniform. I believe it's just the shadows making it look like a bow.
