Luftwaffe Pin

Post by rdb3 » 25 Dec 2019 05:31

Hi All,

My dad picked up a few items at a flea market in Spain, all of which I suspect are fake. (Note that I'm a Novice here, at best...)

Thought I would post them here anyway to get your thoughts and learn a thing or two.

Next up is this Luftwaffe pin (already did a separate post for what I'm calling a "Commemorative Boating Coin"). Is this a total fantasy piece? Somehow I've never seen one of these before, so have no idea what it's even supposed to be.

Any thoughts/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It's a post-war fantasy piece. You can buy them on eBay:

(By the way, replacing the outlawed/offensive Swastika with the legally safe/non-offensive Iron Cross is a typical design practice when it comes to such post-war pieces.)
