I purchased these in the late 50’s. I was told the lightning bolt pin was a gold SS Party pin but don’t believe it. Ideas?
I believe the cross sword medal is original but the clasp pin looks to have been replaced at some time. Your thoughts please.
I’ve been collecting since childhood. Got hooked from all the German/Nazi souvenirs my dad brought home.

Yakima Joe,

the photos are to small, sorry, the "Kriegsverdienstkreuz mit Schwertern 1.Klasse 1939", the needle looks different from
the original "Steinhauer & Lück" (Lüdenscheid) example, from the estate of my grandfather.
Awarded about 140.000 times before 1945...

Kriegsverdienstkreuz mit Schwertern 1.Klasse 1939 https://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/zweit ... tfertigten.
Wiki (G) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kriegsver ... euz_(1939)

The SS needle / pin, no idea, to me a pure fantasy item in very bad "quality". :?

As said above, the SS pin is a fantasy piece. Its obverse is modelled on the design of the buttons for the SS evening dress [Abendgesellschaftsanzug]

Thanks HPL, the former called "Abendgesellschaftsanzug" would be another topic...

38.000,- for a "Allgemeine-SS - Abend Gesellschaftsjackett aus dem Besitz eines SS-Obersturmbannführers im Stab Reichsführung-SS"
is a number...

Interesting the former "Ärmelband", in question in another earlier topic...

Thanks for your help with the fake SS pin. Not sure what to do with it I won’t display it. Below are better pics of the second pin. I hope they will suffice to determine weather the piece is original or fake. Or, a replacement pin.

WOW, they were faking these things back in the 50’s? I bought 3 other pieces from the same shop. Maybe I should post them as well for the forums review.
Thanks

The above tinnie looks original to my untrained eye. Also, You should take better photos of the SS pin/button (both sides) if possible.

About the above "Braunschweig 1931" Abzeichen, I am not sure ?

Excellent reproductions and fakes are on the market, hundreds of them, in almost every "Quality"...

Yes, the attachment / press-fit of the rear needle unfortunately speaks against an original.
Less than 15,- Euro on a german flea-market, sorry.

Thank you. Bought these when I was a barely a team. I’ve learned a lot since then.
