Unlike the usual split between ribboned medal and a larger badge type decoration of same, The Free City of Danzig implemented the two grades of the Lifesaving medal in the same shape and size but different in finishes/colors/grades- namely bronze and silver. The ribbon was same on both medals. Sadly it is missing on my silver one.
