Reichssieger 1938 & 1939
Hi, me again.
Another couple of badges on approval. This time Reichssiegers, from a reputable source, but as they say "don't trust any one".
I'd appreciate any views as to originality, good/bad points to look for. The enamel on the 1938 is white rather than cream, were any white?
Here goes

Hi Scowen.
I've been studying these victors badges for about a year now,to be precise i study the Reichsberufswettkampf (thanks to this badge
).
The last couple hours i've been busy with your badges, unfortunatly i don't own a Reichssieger badge
so i've used my Brehmer Kreissieger as a benchmark (original) to compare with all other badges i have on file Kreis, Gau and Reichssiegers made by Brehmer.
At first glance there was nothing wrong with the badges untill i read on and saw your concern on the enamel collour,i started to look closer and found even more differences between the 1938 and 1939 badges.
The different one is the 1938 Reichssieger
Lets start with the Makers mark.
1. the letter G looks rounded in the lower right
2. B has round corners on the left
3. the R's right leg is shorter
4. E has a blob on his head
5. The M's left leg is larger and sticks out
6. N same as M
The 1939 mm is the same as every other badge i compared with (and those were quite a few
)

The leaves on the 1938 are quite different from the Reichssieger 39 and my Kreissieger 1938.
And the 2 dots that seperate the leaves are closer to the enamel
As you noticed the enamel collour is white while on the botton 2 badges (Reichs 1939 centre and Kreis 1938 bottom) it the correct cream white.
Also the enamel on the top badge (1938) looks not even (but that could be the pic)
