Re: Unidetified badge / emblem
your choice ...
badge occurs only in Poland - in Kujawy and Pomerania.
you translate the information from the Polish side?
Who would in such an area Polish threw fake badge?
badge is zinc, safety pin - metal. all are excavated a metal detector.
IMO and my friend and other - this is not false

Re: Unidetified badge / emblem
The biggest joke is that information from Norbert Leide, IMHO: " Every ethnic German in Poland must wear this badge otherwise he/she would be treated as Pole." "rofl"tyfus wrote: your choice ...[...]
A simple fabric bagde is much easier to produce and less expensive in acquirement.

Wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil !
Zwei Zitate aus zwei Büchern:
Schulpolitik als Volkstumspolitik, Autor: Georg Hansen, Verlag Waxmann 1994, Seite39

To NorbertL, could you be so kind to post that photo from your grandparents with the badge in wear? You would make some people very happy with that. Thanks in advance.

Yeah... that would end the controversy surrounding this badge; but probably (IMO) not going to happen.

Re: Unidentified badge / emblem
Norbert , I can understand not posting photos of your grandparents; can you use screenshot or photoscape to just post the area of the photograph that has the badge?

Re: Unidentified badge / emblem
NorbertL , you just anwsered the question of the originality of this badge.
Re: Unidentified badge / emblem
I wonder, how it´s possible that no one recognised this "Abzeichen für Volksdeutsche" since the wartime??
There where a lot of etnic Germans in the former "county" Danzig - Westpreussen, when everyone of them was forced/requested to wear it so that he/she can not be considered a Pole where are all this badges now? Why there are only ~ 13 recovered??
BTW, the newspaper doesn´t mention anything about the badge, just that the old man didn´t miss just one meeting of the NSDAP in the area.

Yes but the photo proves that this badge existed and is not a fantasy badge.

I never doubted that, AFAIK.rlimike wrote:[...] Yes but the photo proves that this badge existed and is not a fantasy badge.
Re: Unidentified badge / emblem
