Hei, Lillegutt!
I bet that the original needle was broken (not unusual), and the brass needle was a replacement/contemporary repaired.
A very nice item!

Hi Guys !
I post pics. of some of my variant over the Norwegian NS Frontkjempermerker " Frontfighter badge " only given the Norwegians who voolentered in Waffen - SS and Wehrmacht . Think the most of the Norwegian voolenters where in Waffen - SS . This one is a war made piece .

Lillegutt

Hi Lillegutt,

I'm not so sure that only Norwegians got the Frontkjemperaward, I'm aware of at least 3 Swedes (Probably more) who got it as well. For one of them I've a copy of his "Urkund" with a fascimile signature of Quisling.

HI Lillegutt,

One of those volunteers enlisted in Finland but were in Norway several times after being wounded. Later he was to serve in Norway and ended the war in Norway.

Hello Martin!
No, it has never been said that only Norwegians recieved this badge. The swedes who are known to have got it, were those in the Ski batallion and the Norwegian Legion. This goes for the Germans in these units as well.

Hello folks.
I was wanting to find out more about the frontkjemper badge so I typed it in the search and came up with this thread. I'm wondering if anyone has any info about the badge requirements or anything.? Also if there was an award document. I never knew there was a minature so to see those from Lillegut was amazing. They look really fantastic.
Another question - I know these are pretty rare but anyone know if someone out there has got one or sale.? I'm interested if the price is right.
Kind regards
Matt Gibbs
