response to Heinz
Will have to get the EKs out and check the reverses. I do recall at least one marked 1 and also a 20.
The cased RK is unmarked.

Markings on EK1s
Hi Heinz:
I checked my collection.
Of the three cased 1939 EK1s, 2 unmarked with one marked 26.
Two cased 1914 EK1s, one vaulted marked 800, one plain marked 800.
1939 EK1s, 100, L-13, 65, Screwback L-58, screwback (I think L-59) the rest of the 1939 are unmarked.
1914 EK 1: Mey. (knight shield), 2 screwbacks vaulted one marked 800.
I also have two 1870 EK 2s with 25 year attachments. One EK 2 has the 1914 spange.
I've attached a scan of one of my favorites, a cased custom police medal. I've never seen another one that had the case.

I'm impressed! Those are a rarity indeed.
