NS Frauenschaft Badges
Hi there folks;
I am interested in getting some images of these that ARE in peoples collections, for details of maker marks etc.
I am looking into collecting a few of these different types and the more I find out the more there seems to know.
If anyone can recommend any good sources for these also I would be interested to know!
Kind regards
Matt Gibbs

Matt,
Are you referring to Frauenschaft badges? I would call most of them "badges" rather than "awards," since most of the varying styles indicate the period of issue, and the borderless or coloured-border variants denote simple membership or service in the Organization's staff at a regional level (Ort, Kreis, Gau, or Reich).

Awards/Badges
Ja Fraulein,
You are right, I did not even notice I had called them "awards" in my post! [now changed].
You are exact in what I was thinking about, the different types of memebr badges and staff badges, how they interrelate to the national structure of party organisation and in fact anything to do with the badges!
I am busy looking myself and will be putting any relevant info here for others.
Regards

Re: Awards/Badges
Good stuff! I'd love to see information here, as there's so little interest or knowledge in the "women's" badges! I think that's because there seem to be such a plethora of the Frauenschaft badges, that it looks mind-boggling at first glance. But when you know the history of them, and relate them to the colour scheme of other Partei insignia, it's not so confusing at all. Okay, if I sound like some fanatic on them, it's probably because I am---I think they're one of the most attractive set of badges of the Third Reich, and they're one of the first things I started collecting seriously.
I have some photos of a few pieces in my collection that a friend scanned for me (and they ARE in my collection---I think I get what you mean by that
), but I can't figure out how to transfer the pictures from my files to the Forum. I should be getting a scanner this weekend, so I'll be glad to post a few from my collection---if I don't blow up my computer in the process!

Maker
I was asked what the maker of my badge was and it is marked on the back with the usual RZM and then M1/120 which is Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid who made a lot of quality enamel badges. These are also known to several other makers.
Kind regards

The woman in the photo could be wearing a DAF Women's Badge, since these were also triangular in shape, and since the photo is labelled as being of the DAF. The circular badge above the triangular one could be a Party pin or, depending on the date, a Type I Frauenschaft badge, which resembled a regular Party pin but were only issued in 1933.
And I don't think I'd want to argue with the woman behind her, either!

DAF
Hi there;
Yes, I missed the obvious there Fraulein! You're right and of course they could indeed be the DAF Womens organisation pins, and as this is a DAF meeting that likelyhood increases greatly.
I'm shortly to be recieving one of these DAF pins so I will put up a comparison picture when I can.
Nice to know someone else is interested in this area!
Kind regards

Matt,
Very nice Leader's badge you're getting with that grouping!
Following are some photos of Type I and II badges---that's all I could manage tonight. Will post some more photos of Type III badges (the same type as yours) tomorrow.

Thanks!
Great pictures of those badges, nice collection, especially the high level leaders ones! Looking forward to seeing more, personally I like the type 3's the most
The earlier membership badges were in 3 sizes for a reason I guess..?? Was this to do with the Jungmadel/BDM/NSF relationship, between the organisations.?
Kind regards
