I am happy to see such interest in Frauenschaft badges. This thread is a little old, but perhaps someone out there might be interested in seeing my wee collection of women's pins. I collect a lot of things, but I am happy with my women's collection in this drawer. If you have any questions, please ask. You can see the historical development of the Frauenschaft with the pins: with the crown, then Rotes Hakenkreuz, then NS Frauenschaft. FYI: the early triangular pins with the crown were worn around the neck by a chain but then the ring was ground off and a pin added.....trivia. HEY---I cannot put my photo here because of pixel size......HOW do I do this????? I have reduced the picture in size to 1 inch wide!!! What do I do?????? HELP!!!!

Hello Mike,
the forum software does not go by the presentation size of the scan but by the pixel number. The maximum dimensions are 799 pixels width and 1999 pixels height I think. If you're using a high resolution scanner or digital camera you'll have to reduce the number of pixel of your scan. In most image enhancement or drawing programs there's some kind of option where you can insert the pixel size of the file you want to export to. Reduction of the presentation size does not necessarily reduce the number of pixels. Often it just means that the same data is shown in a smaller frame.
Best regards
Torsten.

Danke Torsten, I later went to my photo-shop type program and changed the dimensions to pixels and I had the same result. I looked at the FAQ section and it said that I could not directly upload a picture to the reply but rather had to put it "out there" somewhere where the forum could access it....!!?? Would you understand this? I hope that my Frauenschaft pictures are worth all this!!
Mike
PS now I get an "Invalid Session" error and it won't let me post this....what is happening??

Mike,
Outstanding collection! Thanks for posting the pictures!
A couple of questions: Two of the badges on the top row appear to have a gray metal disc behind them. Are these by any chance screw-back types, as were produced in some other medals?
Also, two of the badges on the bottom right side appear to have a gray disc and some sort of button or seal associated with them. Are these some sort of pattern piece seal or proof marking? Or what are they?
Best,
~Vikki

Vikki, I will attach two pictures of the badges you were talking about. Both are the pattern sample tag for the RZM authorities. I have never seen any Frauenschaft badges with the round disk attachment process. I am glad that someone from the women's forum is looking at my badges.....I enjoy researching and collecting (amongst many other things) things from the women in the Third Reich. This drawer is only for women's pins and related items.

Those serial numbers have me intrigued.
Thank you for posting the clearer pictures of the red brooch. Very nice indeed; you're a lucky man with such a collection Mike
Perhaps you can answer another question: Below the red brooch you have a black brooch with a mark in the middle of the cross bit, just below the writing and just above the Swastika - what is that mark? A symbol or a knock in the enamel?
