So you tink that this Ceremony?
18/07/41, FHQ, Wolfsschanze
LW-WH ceremony
- Obst. August Krakau (314. RK)
- Obstlt. August Wittmann (313. RK)
- NCO Gebirgsjäger (maybe Sandner or Burghartweiser)
- Obst. Alfred Sturm (LW - 234. RK)
- Major Edgar Stenzler (LW – 239. RK)
- Major Ludwig Heilmann (LW – 203. RK)
- Gen.Lt. Kurt Student (LW – 18. RK) : doubtful in my opinion due to his earlier bestowal date. I would say he was there to introduce his best men to AH.
- Obst. Richard Heidrich (LW – 202. RK)
- Hptm. Friedrich-August Freiherr von der Heydte (LW - 235. RK)
- Hptm. Gerhart Schirmer (LW – 204. RK)
- Oblt. Harry Herrmann (LW – 236. RK)
- Oblt. Arnold von Roon (LW – 237. RK)

Hi everybody!
This pic is from a personal album of "Sepp45", a member of the "Foro Segunda Guerra Mundial" ( http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4355 ... stegp6.jpg ). ( http://www.forosegundaguerra.com/index.php ).
He has given me permission to post it here as he´s trying to id this RKT. According to Sepp45, the pic was taken in 1941/42, on the first months of Operation Barbarrossa.
Any ideas of who could be the RKT?
Any help is really appreciated.

fangio,
I believe ths was actually burried somewhere earlier in this thread. Dieter was kind enough to try to identify I think was an inscription in the back. We almost got there but since I found out this was actutally Erich Klier, of JgRgt 56, here decorated by Gen Gittner, Kmdr of 5 Jg Div on 4, May 1944. Not during Barbarossa.
Cheers
Freiherr
