Great, Peter...by the way, in April 1945 Hensel was BtlKdr. with the newly formed Rgt. of OTL Krieg, PzFüsRgt. GD, which was entrained from Eckernförde to for the Berlin Battle. But they did not get further as the River Elbe...

I assume this ceremony was held by Frantz's unit after he had returned from personally receiving the Oakleaves from Hitler on the 13th April 1943.

thank you very much for your fine and excellent work !

I have added this one and the two Fallschirmjäger threads to the section "award threads of special interest" of our "awardholders/unit" project ;
so, via the master list there it is another chance to find the way to those threads.

It's a very nice and interesting coverage of single units / divisions / branches on it's own as well as a useful addition beside the pure listing style of the above project.
