Soldat is Johannes Block. Offıcer 8 (two pages back) is Karl Bieg and not Wilhelm Kohler as I thought it was.

To John Toner.

As far as I know, Johannes Block was Oberst from IR 202, later General. Maybe you mean Johann Bloch, Oberfeldwebel
from 1./GR 44? Or Josef Block, Unteroffizier from 5./GR 2?

Hi Fangıo,
Looks like Hartmut Schairer, Stuka pilot.

Someone from Kharkov,
Yes the Block is Johann Block, not Johannes - thanks.

Hi John!
Do you have any pic of Schairer to compare? If you don´t, it´s ok, don´t worry.
Best,

Good morning,

1481a: could be Major Hermann Hehmeyer, RK on 10.12.1942, http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de

Regards

Christian

Yes definitely Hehmeyer. Both Scherzer and Kai Winkler had variation of a portrait and it matched the above.

Cheers
