Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
This guy came up in a search for Wünsche on the net, but obviously isn't him.
I went through the pics of all LSSAH RKT NCO's but couldn't find him...
Thanks
Tom

Man with binoculars looks like Hans Dörr but I doubt because don't see his DKiG on the photo.
What do you think?

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hi Bake,
The seller claims this was Neitzel who was also a posthumous ELT. There was certainly some resemblance but the standard pic of him at his RKV did not have him with the Close Combat Clasp or the Ehrenblattspange. There was a second pic of him with a Close Combat Clasp but still no Ehrensblattspange.
However, this looked like summer in Russia and it certainly did not contradict the award date: 2.6.43. If so, then the awarding general could be the never seen before Alfred Theilmann, Kdr. of 122. ID during this very short span of time. Certainly did not look like Theilmann's predecessor Trowitz or successor Chill.
Cheers
Freiherr

A further one from Bundesarchiv.
The General left is PAUL von HASE, then GOEBBELS, third from right Generaloberst FROMM and an unknown RKT "from Sewastopol".
