As I've seen on other places the number of 28 too, this "48" might be a typo.

Besides many discussions about confirmed kills and the reliability of some numbers there wasn't too much questioning and examination in depth of the numbers here. I placed a slight doubt and a question once. Most difficult all this as we all know.

With regard to Wolfgang von Bostell it might be one of the easier cases to look for a more or less secure number. The Biblio Verlag KC series Sturmgeschütz Band should provide something detailed (KC and OL award). The number is relatively low compared to others but considering the late war period it was achieved it can be rated high. Depends on how one weights different aspects.

Yes, the 48 are a typo. In addition to Mitcham, per the Biblio Verlag KC series StuG Band he received the KC for 20 Abschüsse and the OL after/for 28 Abschüsse.
I will edit the list on page 1 and will also add the new names.

This is a redo of an older thread on the forum that listed Panzer Aces. I have revised the list to be alphabetical and have added additional individuals. I also feel it would be far better to title it as Tank Killers or Panzer Killers rather than use the word ACE. This term was associated with combat in the air and as a result it is hard to find details on individuals and their scores for ground or sea operations.

The other consideration is the addition of other high scorers as well as high scores in single engagements that usually resulted in the award of a KC to this listing.

Marcus has offered to make this a sticky so this would be an excellent opportunity to add, correct, modify and embellish to the list below. We all read and as we come across data on this subject, this would be the opportunity to share with others.
