Awarding general was Slovakian Josef Turanec, himself a RKT. The German RKT was very likely being awarded only the Slovakian Bravery Medal -- it hangs just above the flap of the left breast pocket -- as evidenced by the bespectacled winner that was just awarded this medal.

Here are two from the Bundesarchiv. Who is the Panzer KC holder in the very nice North Africa photo? The officer with Goebbles and Fromm in the other one is said to be a 'Sevastopol Kämpfer'

I thought of Kummel as well,he was awarded KC on July 41 but pic has April/May 41,
so the pic has to be the wrong month.
