Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Thanks John and Terry. Michel and John done.
Having reached page 35 in the second round of evaluation (omissions, extra points), here are two men which might find an agreement for a listing :
iden3.jpg - Lorenz Schmid GJR 100 ? on page 29 was said to be a definite id (or written Schmied) - confirmations or objections ?
No objection that this - page 32 - http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 29#p472329 is Karl Brösamle ?
regards
Bernd

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, Bernd,
Will second your id on Broesamle. Not sure about Schmied or Schmid. I have him as Schmied in both von Seemen and Fellgiebel.
Hope this helps.

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Done the last, thanks Gregg !
Terry, Karl Brösamle was a delivery by freiherr once. Took the liberty to ask again to have sureness about himself. Originally he was connected to bscap026/031.jpg - Willy Pieper ?
and suggested to be identical to the man on those pics. Other suggestion was Willy Pieper. Still unanswered/not clarified.
regards
Bernd

Re: Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Hello, Bernd,
Many thanks for the note on page 256 referencing those of bscap026/031 as being the same individual and purporting to depict either that of Brösamle or Willi Pieper. According to the pic I have of Willi Pieper, I don´t think it is he. It is a closer match between Heinz Pieper and Martin Brösamle.
After carefully looking at the pic of Brösamle previously posted and comparing that with the pic I have of Heinz Pieper, there is more of a resemblance. I would go with Heinz Pieper, unless the pic I have of either Heinz or Willi are incorrectly identified. I would post what I have, and let you or others decide, but I don´t know how to do that on this site. Any help would be appreciated.
I wish I could be of more help on this.
Take care.
Terry
