Re: Unknow gun
Hi Jopaerya and Manuferey,
I had never seen this type of steel wheels on the trailers of the 9.2in BL Mk I and Mk II british howitzers.
I just knew the typical wooden wheels. On the other hand I do not understand the modern rubber wheels in Jopaerya photos I do not think the Russians modernize a weapon that only had 4 copies.

Regards Sturm78.
PD: according to Wikipedia, the U.S. Army also uses this weapon, manufactured in the USA.

Re: Unknow gun
Hi Jopaerya,
It is unclear if the picture shows an 9.2in (234mm) or 12in (305mm).

Re: Unknow gun
Hello Sturm78,
Thank you for nice photos + sharing with us !!!
Your two first photos ( the tall / box - shield )
is a modernized 203 / 50 with a new elevation +40
Noticed that the gun barrel has been turned up side
down with the recoil system over gun barrel . If J
understand it right , the gun have powered controls
and about + - 14 guns modified .
hopes it helps ???
Regards
ludvig

Re: Unknow gun
Hi Ludvig,
Thanks for your answer. I suppose you refer the 203mm Vickers M1905 L50, also manufactured in Russia by Obuhov factory, no?
In this link http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNRussi ... _m1905.htm the mounts seem differents. I guess that my photos show the modernization of these mounts.

Re: Unknow gun
Hi Sturm,
Look on page 5 of the following link for some information on this gun at Sevastopol from Jos:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 1&start=60
Beute designation: 20,3 cm Küstenkanone L/45 (r)
So it would be different from the Vickers L/50

Re: Unknow gun
Hi Manuferey,
Thank you very much for your link. But then, which was the Russian name of this gun?
According to this link http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNRussi ... _m1892.htm , there was also the 203mm M1892 L45, but all were been withdrawn by 1941.
Have anyone any idea for the other two photos of my last post?
Regards Sturm78.

Re: Unknow gun
Hello All
For the picture's I think all photo's on the link to Naval Weapons are L/45 just like the ones in Bat . Mamaschai ( Crimea )
the later M.K.B. v.d. Goltz , the L/50 was also used in Crimea in Bat. Bachtschissarai ( first 2 picture's of Sturm ) .
For the last photo of Sturm it's for me Russian , my two cents are the twin 130/50 mm without shield .
Regards Jos
