Hmmm Someone from Khakov's RKT Major was a Chief of Staff of at least a Flieger Div?

Cheers

Hi all, back from a pc crash and 10 more pages in this sticky ! But a long way to go for ~ 7.400 . :)

Index process is will go on next to catch up with the pages and I will proceed with the 2nd round reviews of course.

A belated welcome to the forum to Waffensoldat1, hi Brett !
Great series of ids and work on older pics throughout the thread ! I was going to handle your post from 11 May on page 270 first. All is done accordingly (captions, index). I would like to mention and document a few points raised to have it accurate and to rule out objections.

1) Friedrich-August Schack
Pg. 121 pic "73_1_ba.jpg" is Friedrich-August Schack according to the description of the same pic on another page
Yes, was id'ed by Gregg. Both slightly different (quality) versions on the index now.

2) Waldemar Teige
Pg. 105 pic "Biblio 8.jpg" looks to me like Waldemar Teige but this photo does not match up to any that I have seen of his award ceremony. Some of the guys standing next to him do not appear to be his crew members that are in the other pics I have ....probably just taken at a different part of the ceremony
hm, I would agree it is him. I placed him on the confirmations list for the time being.
Waldemar Teige

One Waldemar Teige, award ceremony pic is on the index already.
Confirmations ? Comments ?

Extra posts below concerning two other cases.

Best regards
Bernd

The seeming Michael Fischer case.
Flak-Rgt. 14 recipient Michael Fischer is mentioned a number of times in the thread and there are a number of pics showing him - and not, like stated by Brett recently.

So, the distinction and state of date like indexed right now, is :
pp. 210, 213 show
Christian Lotze
Christian Lotze (award ceremony)

whereas Fischer is seen on pp. 157, 83, 197
Michael Fischer
Michael Fischer
Michael Fischer

One id is not clarified. It was suggested that Willi Hägele is to the right of Fischer on
page 197 : http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 3#p1237173
He is the only other RKT of Flak-Rgt. 14. What makes me think is that he already wears the KC, although his award date is 30.09.1944 ; Fischer was awarded at a time in May 1943 ! (award date 07.04.1943). And they were assigned to different Abteilungen of the Rgt. (basically subordinated to different Flak staffs).
So, Hägele ?? Comments ?

Pg. 76, 84, 131 and 151 is the same pic. On 74 it is named "whoarethey1.jpg" and on 84 and 131 it is labeled as Johannes Baasch and on pg. 151 it is "who is RK.jpg". On the back of the photo I have the RK winner is named as Karl Baxmann. Both look close to me.....
The Johannes Baasch case.
Big in volume - I counted not less than 7 pics, some double - but could be a small or not a problem.
The index now has (pp. 76, 129, 130, 131, 151)
Johannes Baasch
Johannes Baasch
Johannes Baasch
Johannes Baasch
Johannes Baasch

and captioned are another two (double pics, pp. 84, 151).

So, who, if so, is Karl Baxmann ? Or all, in fact Baasch ? We ruled out Albert Ernst (s.Pz.Jg.) once with certainty.
