The award document of SS-Uscha.Heinrich Rossberg (2./SS-Panzer-Auklarung-Abteilung 17) dated 28.02.1944 is published in Götz von Berlichingen Vol.1 by Jean-Claude Perrigault and Rolf Meister page 321.W.Vermeer wrote:Don't know if they have been clarified here with accurate clarification, but on the Militaria Fundforum (http://militaria-fundforum.de) I found the next proof:
Lutz, Johannes, Golden awarded by Divisions-Befehl dated 15th January 1945
source, mentioned Divisions-Befehl published on the Militaria-Fundforum
and
Rossberg, Heinrich, Silver awarded according to Bescheinigung dated 28th February 1944
source, Bescheinigung published on Militaria Fundforum
I can't publish the two documents here for they ar not in my posession, do have the jpg files if someone is interested.

As far as I know, he is Wilhelm Niggemeyer, must be the same person who appeared in the propaganda movie "Männer gegen Panzer".This mentioned picture was in the movie.AlifRafikKhan wrote: Who's the panzerknacker in this Third Reich era book instruction? i posted this query on another forum hoping to get some answers but as yet none??
my question is r/e major herman-gustav jochims
20th pz gren division (mot) ir.90
how many tank destruction badges.
was he credited with, on this forum his total is given as four.
on his divisions website, there is a picture of him wearing at least five tdb. {it is slightly blurred}

in my notes I've got "Hauptmann Hermann-Gustav Jochims RKT, NKSiG, DKiG, Verw_Gold Killed 1945 in the pocket of Berlin (5 kills (photographic evidence), but claims of 1 additional kill). Born 08. August 1909 in St. Annen/Schleswig-Holstein, † 28. April 1945 in Pichelsdorf/Großraum Berlin.
Kdr 7th Kompanie im panzergrenadierregiment 90 of the 20 Panzergrenadier Div."
If he was killed in Berlin, then the chances are that he managed to knock another tank out there.
Cheers,
Neil

Re: Die Panzerknacker- the holders of the tank destruction badge
Hello Micky and Neil!
About Oberstleutnant Hermann-Gustav Jochims, in the book "Ritterkreuzträger mit Nahkampfspange in Gold" by Florian Berger (2004), the biography on Jochims also claims six (6) Panzervernichtungsabzeichen but several of the photgraphs of Jochims shows five (5). Just a detail about his Verwundetenabzeichen im Gold, Jochims was wounded 15 times in combat before he died in the Berlin fighting.
Regards,
Krollspell
