Who is this Knight's Cross recipient from U-boat force?

Wilhelm Franken / AHF id
see the discussion on the following pages (309 - 316) , see another Franken photo on p. 315, and the von Tiesenhausen photos (pp. 313, 315)

It seems to me that I've found out the ID about SM0497.jpg at page 256. I think it's Hans (Johannes) Neumann from GR 852.

3509754.jpg

Hello,

thank you for showing this one. I don't know who he is! But it is not von Tiesenhausen. In the moment I prefer Klaus Scholtz, but this is not the final opinion. I hope he is not. Could be more rare. Like Fenski! The location looks a little bit sunny. Could be in the mediteranian sea! I prefer submarin KC holders to all the others. I bought the picture .....!

Will be back soon!

I'm not convinced. I identified von Tiesenhausen on the basis of the chequered collar of his shirt he is also wearing on the other famous pic with KC - just awarded - and a bouquet of flowers. I recommend a comparing view.

There was no sun, when von Tiesenhausen came in. I think it is a rare one. Take a look at the Krupp-Germania card! It ius totally different.
