Fascinating series of photos, docarchiv ! 8-)
I have captioned the pics with current ids "just in time" for several reasons. One is, otherwise I possibly never catch up with the speed (= actual page). :)

Please, all, take a look, if everything is right with this page 311 , series by Alter.Sammler, that is the Schrank / von Doering / not Glasl, but Franek complex. In particular confirmations or objections about Glasl/Franek.

And, just to avoid the slight possibility of an error : 49.18 KiB = Erich Lorenz
and not Alois Eisele ; they look quite similar, don't they ?

/ Bernd

and page 185 - post-84.jpg it's Karl Kulp.
Hi Ruslan,
thanks for this "older" id -> Karl Kulp ; was said by John earlier, too.

Of note !
45.92 KiB by docarchiv is unknown in this forum since 2003 and is the very first entry on the "no id list" :
page 1 : Rk5.jpg
(better quality version by docarchiv , bigger version on page 1)

Best regards
Bernd

On the Kuhl photo 45.17KiB, the officer on the right appears to be Horst Ademeit, also a major of JG54.

Docarchiv- I believe the photo 55.03 is von Tiesenhausen. While he posed with a mock up K.C. at Salamis (60.38) His award was not officially authorized until 27.01.42. Since he was at sea until 28.02.42 and this marked his transfer to La Spezia and the 29th Flotilla, from where he left on his next patrol. You can check it with Manfred Dorr to be sure. Best wishes.

Hello, docarchiv,

The picture posted as A1.jpg on Page 312 is a photo of Hauptmann Heinrich Gerlach and the officer on the right is Elimar Meyer-Wehner. Both received the Knight's Cross for the liberation of Benito Mussolini from the Gran Sasso Sports Hotel in the Abbruggi Mountains. Gerlach was the pilot of the Fiesler Storch and Meyer-Wehner was the glider pilot who landed his glider closest to the hotel to surprise Mussolini's Italian guards.

Hope this helps.

Take care.

Terry

Hello, again, docarchiv,

The picture immediately below the one I just id'd, is a photo of Elimar Meyer-Wehner. I think he is listed as Elimar Meyer, and may have added the name Wehner after the war.

Hope this helps.

Take care.

Hello,

thank you for help in the case of Korten. I today received the photograph of our submarin discussion. Take a look at the bear. It is not the same von Tiesenhausen has on the photograph I presented you. If we are sure, that it is La Spezia, who could it be?

Thank you!
